Job Summary: Proactively supervise, provide guidance and counseling to assist probationer compliance with conditions of sentence in the office or field. Assess the needs of probationers and make appropriate service referrals, including health, mental health, housing, transportation, education, vocational training, job skills training and placement. Works closely with all supporting programs to develop and implement programs to achieve rehabilitation excellence.

Compensation: $25.39 hr.

Education Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in criminal justices, Behavioral Science, Social Work, or related field. *Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Minimum Related Experience:

  • Six (6) months working experience in a probation office, parole, law enforcement, or wellness/drug court environment or related field.

  • Six (6) months working experience in writing reports, assessing cases, making recommendations, conducting field visits, referring people to appropriate resources, and presenting cases in court or at hearing.

Required Licenses/Certifications/Other

  • Must have a WA State Driver’s License. (Abstract required)

  • Probation Officer/Community Corrections Academy and/or Police Officer Academy required within one year of employment.

  • The Tulalip Tribes requires different levels of pre-employment drug screening and background screening for all positions. Employment is contingent upon passing all applicable drug screening and background checks.

Terms of Employment: This is a Full-Time position.
