UW-Whitewater at Rock County seeks an Engineering Program Instructor/Advisor (Lecturer).
This full-time (100%) position provides instruction, lab support, advising, and program coordination for Electrical Engineering Studies in the UW-Platteville Partners in Engineering Program through UW-Whitewater at Rock County.
- Masters degree in Engineering or related field
- Teaching experience
- Experience with academic programs
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Willingness and ability to be an active participant in following applicable safety rules and regulations including necessary training and drills
- Ability to interact respectfully with people from diverse socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds
- Teach Introductory Engineering Courses (25%)
- Potential Courses:
- EGR 105: Engineering Fundamentals
- EGR 282 Engineering Economic Analysis
- Circuit Modeling (To be developed CIS
- Offer labs and discussion sections for learning support (25%)
- Be available to assist students with completion of labs or set up.
- Office hours in the late afternoon/evening for tutoring assistance
- Advise Students (15%)
- Assist students with course selection
- Assist students with career planning
- Program Coordination with UW-Platteville (10%)
- Maintain communication between campuses
- Inform students of Platteville course schedules
