Job Number: R0060957Naval Operations Instructor, SeniorKey Role:Provide foreign military sales (FMS)-related training support for military personnel on naval bases in an international location. Maintain responsibility for delivering technical instruction to junior and mid-grade military officer and enlisted personnel. Maintain responsibility for coordinating activities to provide general military with instruction on current naval science topics, including naval operations, ship handling, rules of the road, command duty officer (CDO), officer of the deck (OOD), and other professional and maritime topics of interest, such as support for Naval Tactical Team members. Mentor junior and mid-grade officer and enlisted personnel and coordinate and lead curriculum review efforts to ensure quality assurance, standardization, and course content is current. Coordinate efforts with other operational and training commands, as necessary. Maintain responsibility for maintaining the current FMS business footprint while exploring and expanding business opportunities.
Basic Qualifications:-Experience on an afloat staff-Experience with computers, including using Microsoft Office products to maintain curriculum materials-Experience as an operations specialist, including Senior Chief or Master Chief or a warfare qualified officer, limited duty officer, including Surface Operations Specialist 612X, or Warrant Officer 712X-Knowledge of Navy training management theories, policies, principles, procedures, and techniques-BA or BS degree in Education and 3 years of experience with instructing students in military programs-Warfare Qualification, including Enlisted or Officer level
