As an Area Supervisor II, you will be responsible for the day-to-day alarm response of the assigned client facilities. Generally, the Area Supervisor II will provide support to the area office and site supervisors; ensure contract compliance by regularly inspecting and auditing each facility assigned to the area; ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained.

Main Responsibilities

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

Provide alarm response to client sites

Oversee the staffing, scheduling, and on-site training for security officers; may directly supervise security officers.

Ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met.

Maintain overtime to a preset requirement designated by G4S.

Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting and auditing each facility assigned to his/her area.

Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.

Participate and make recommendations in selection and placement of security personnel to contracts in his/her area; participate and make recommendations in progressive discipline and conduct performance appraisals of the same.

Perform payroll functions and prepare client required reporting.

The Ideal Candidate

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Must be able to meet and maintain any applicable licensing or certification requirements including armed certification

Must possess a current and valid driver’s license

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

A minimum of one (1) years prior documented management/supervisory experience in a security environment

Must possess one or more of the following

Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone

Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field

Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies

A minimum of 8 or more years of active service in any military branch

Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service

Skills Required

Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office

Effective oral and written communication skills

Active listening skills

Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively

Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately

Attention to detail

Other

Must be at least 21 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher

Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States

Must be able to work flexible schedules

Must have access to reliable transportation

Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law

Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Indoor and outdoor; minimal work in extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity: Working on PC while sitting; telephone use; driving; standing; walking; listening; speaking

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Limited, to include some standing, bending, and limited stretching and reaching
