HR Manager - Chelsea Date Posted: 10/04/2018 Job Type: Direct Hire Job Location: Chelsea Michigan Job Description: HR MANAGER JOB SUMMARY Responsible for overall Human Resources activities, including recruiting, employee relations, communications, policies/procedures, and other related facets of HR. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale + Protects interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations. Approves recommendations for terminations + Oversees implementation of programs through Human Resources. Monitors administration to standards. Identifies opportunities and resolves discrepancies + Conducts a continuing study of all Human Resources policies, programs, and practices to keep plant management informed of new developments + Directs the preparation and maintenance of such reports as are necessary to carry out functions of department. Prepares periodic reports to corporate, as necessary or requested + Keeps management informed of significant problems that jeopardize the achievement of objectives, and those which are not being addressed adequately at the line management level KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES + Functional/Technical Skills: Strong knowledge and experience in the area of organizational development with specific expertise in the areas of employee development and succession planning. Computer proficient in Microsoft Office. + Adaptability: Adapts well to change in assignments and priorities; adapts behavior and work methods to new information, changing conditions or unexpected obstacles and approaches change positively.
