We are seeking a Director, Business Development. In this role, the candidate will lead business development teams and be responsible for developing and fulfilling program area strategies for the identification, qualification, and capture of new business, domestically and internationally across the Strategic Sensors program area. Also this leader is responsible for supporting campaigns to maintain and grow existing franchise programs. Responsibilities include: refine, drive, execute the MD growth/keep sold strategies; customer engagement; competitor/market analysis; opportunity pipeline development (identify Gate 0 and qualify Gate 1 high quality opportunities) and develop the associated business case to support the pipeline; strategy updates and pipeline reviews to senior management; post Gate 1 opportunity follow through to award -- supporting capture/win strategy development and capture/proposal team support; overall relationship management, pipeline management, resource planning and management, and long-range financial forecasting. Refine, implement, execute and own the MSS growth strategy â growth roadmap, strategic action plans, customer communications/contacts plans, progress reporting and status. Plan, coordinate and execute a growth strategy that focuses on closing pursuits that impact the current Annual Operating Plan followed by our long term growth plans. Develop and represent to senior management a thorough grasp of customers and competitor landscape as it pertains to MSS growth opportunities â provide customer/competitive intelligence and support to ongoing capture/proposal efforts.
