    Technical Support Engineer - 3rd Shift

    An opportunity currently exists for a 3rd shift technical support engineer in the wafer fab of the Microelectronics Engineering and Technology department. The Microelectronics Engineering and Technology (MET) department designs and manufactures compound semiconductor devices, millimeter/microwave integrated circuits (MMICs) and modules for defense and commercial applications and is a part of Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems.

    In this position, the chosen candidate will be responsible for supporting the Raytheon semiconductor foundry in any of the following areas: photolithography, dry etch, wet chemistry, plating, thin film deposition, metal deposition, etc. He or she will be responsible for providing floor assistance in a cleanroom environment, pushing experimental and production wafers through the line and documenting and communicating all measurement results.     Job Description
    Parts Managers are responsible for developing and executing Programs Parts Management and Obsolescence Management plans in accordance with company command media and the customer Statement of Work (SOW). Perform verification and validation of program parts lists to ensure compliance with part selection, standardization, documentation, and qualification requirements. Manage the preparation and release of component specifications, and alternate parts drawings Conduct component obsolescence risk assessments and develop responses and mitigation strategies to resolve parts obsolescence issues and GIDEP alert impacts. This includes strategic Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) mitigation planning and forecasting, management of Life Time Buy (LTB) assets, Zero Unit Tool, and potential Government or Customer Furnished assets (GFM or CFM).

    Parts Managers are required to have strong working relations with other functional staff within the Program project to effect strong management of the part life cycle on the program. Other staff they will need to engage will include Design and Chief Engineering, Integrated Product Team Leads, System Engineering, Program and Supplier Quality, Source Inspection Engineering, Material Parts Managers, Supply Chain, and Program Managers.
    Parts Managers may be called upon to resolve Supplier issues during the start, middle, and end of the procurement cycle by Supply Chain and must have the ability to assess issues, and provide clear direction to resolve them by bringing in the necessary resources.

Provide proposal support, basis of estimates (BOEs), cost estimates and manage earned value for all parts management work products.     Raytheon IIS is seeking a Sr. System Administrator to perform a variety of system administration and maintenance functions associated with monitoring and controlling LINUX and Windows computers hosting classified intelligence data and software applications. This work is in support of the DCGS. Location of work is Beale AFB, CA.

    Duties include, but are not limited to providing computing support to classified programs in Windows and Linux desktop and server environments; troubleshooting and fixing incidents related to engineering software and hardware; and assisting in designing, implementing, and supporting Windows and Linux environments.

    Though this position is with a larger IT team, the candidate is expected to work well on his or her own with only general direction. The candidate is expected to be self-directed, able to multi-task and prioritize work, possess excellent problem solving skills, have strong written and verbal communication skills, is customer focused, and organized. In addition to the hard skills for supporting a technical environment, experience with an IT incident/service request system and strong customer interaction skills with users of all levels are required.

    Administrative operations include performing configuration changes, system backup and restore, troubleshooting, and user account administration. Other functions include maintaining system operational availability, supporting installations, developing solutions to technical issues, working with in-plant engineers to resolve discrepancy reports, providing on-the-job training to the system operators and supporting Unit maintenance tasking.     TAAC-Air Operations Support Services (OSS) Attack Group Tactics mentor will train, advise and assist AAF A-29 and MD-530 aircrews to capture, collate, author and continuously revise Afghan specific TTPD documents for long term sustained operations and effective combat employment.

    Combat employment TTPD also involves the capture and documentation of best practices and lessons learned from the Combined Operations of multiple types of aircraft, weapons, ATAC, ISR assets such as Scan Eagle and PC-12, ANA surface fires such as artillery/mortar/infantry/commandos, and other military/paramilitary/law enforcement forces of Afghanistan.

    Attack Group Tactics mentor shall participate in team, technical, and working group meetings as required; prepare and present briefings to the US Government as related to this effort; responsible to function within the RTN staff; provide inputs to WFF/WTA management; participate in the planning process and recommend improvement opportunities.

    Kabul Air Wing, KIA, or other locations in Afghanistan as required.

    Work may include nights, holidays, and weekends on short notice. Standard will be to conduct training and perform duties six (6) days per week for up to ten (10) hours per day while at OCONUS work site(s) and a standard 40 hour work week while in CONUS.

    Assess the AAFs progress toward CMs and balance assessment with AAF aptitude, personnel availability, and resource constraints.
    Provide daily, weekly reports, presentations as required to Raytheons WFF Program Area Director, SM.
    Develop products and train various coalition and AAF aircrew and leadership.
    Adhere to all scheduled timelines, milestones, delivery schedules and administrative requirements to include on-time delivery of reports, data products, billing invoices, staffing of personnel and action team completion.
